LoJack

Has anyone installed a LoJack? With all the electronics in the car, can it even be done? If you put one in, how much did you pay?

LoJack is very outdated, IMO. It only works in areas where the police have contracted with Lojack to read the signals. http://www.lojack.com/Buy-LoJack-Pro...Check-Coverage

It is only activated when you report it stolen and it gets entered into the NCIC.

No monthly fees, but $695 to $995 to install. You cannot get any GPS or location reports with it. Its only use is for if the car is stolen.

IMO, there are better options

Would be nice is Nissan had a system like Ford Pass. That would show you on your phone where the vehicle is located. I can still see where my old vehicle is.

I'm aware of the stolen vehicle locator and was just wondering whether paying a subscription to keep it would be more advantageous than the big upfront expense of a Lojack. I guess it depends on how much the subscription is. I do keep my cars for a long time.
