Makes Sense to Me

The 8th generation is set up for iOS instead of Android. Looks like all the big wigs at Nissan use iPhones.

Each unit is 1000 phones.

What do you mean "set up for iPhone"? My Android works just fine with the Max

Try plugging in your phone to the usb port. You will get an "unsupported device" message. All the usb port will do is charge the phone.
