Bluetooth phone book

Often when I switch to phone mode on the display, the phone book option is grayed out even though the phone is paired with the car and I can make phone calls. This is annoying, because I can't make a phone call by using the voice response unit to "CALL <whomever>". Then the phone book option will appear randomly, only to disappear again. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Any chance the phone book appears only when you are stopped or in park?

I drove the car today with the phone paired to the car, and what happened seemed to be this: When the car goes faster than 5 mph, the option grays out. When you slow down, the option becomes available again. This doesn't make sense to me, because I would think that you want to access (read, not update) the phone book while the car is moving.

You can still make calls from the phonebook using the voice feature, but you can't look up numbers until the car is stopped.
