Coilovers

What coilovers are people running besides the Bc? I don't want the bc ones. Trying to figure out what other options I have. Curious if anyone knows if the Altima coilovers will fit like springs do?

I would like to know as well. Perhaps TEIN from a previous gen maxima or Altima will fit?

I know, I'm in the same boat as you. Some type of feedback on this would be really appreciated.

I suspect that most people on this forum haven't attempted to use coilovers and don't know the answer to that question. I'd try to contact a performance shop that has Infinitis and Maximas in their portfolio

So according to Megan they make coil overs for the maxima but are on back order. I placed my order and should have them to me and installed within the next 2 weeks. I've had good experiences with Megan products in the past. Hopefully these will be good.

Do you know what spring rates they offer or suggest for the 8th gen? Also, do they have front camber plates standard or ala carte? Thanks.

You know what I remember asking about the springs but I can't give u an honest answer on the rates. The camber plates aren't adjustable on the ones I'm getting and I'm not sure if they offer them. Sorry wasn't much help lol

That's dope. How low do you plan on going?

I just want the least amount of fender gap I can get without it becoming an issue. Slight tuck would be ideal if I can accomplish it without rubbing issues.

Im leaning towards a tein setup for comfort and adjustability (based on past experience). Since the 16+ Maxima uses 13+ Altima springs I'm hoping an Altima coilover setup would translate to the 8th gen maxima.

Currently, I'm using eibach prokit 63115.140 which is the 13+ Altima kit. The kit rides great but the rear never settled and it's at least 1/2" higher than my front. It looks bad unless I have people in the back seat.

Soooo, Tein gives part number GSK10-9UAS2 for the Altima 3.5. 6/8 spring rates. Wish me luck. Lol

Mikeymax17: That is a lucid, intelligent, well thought out objection.

MadMax07SL: Thank you, your honor.

Mikeymax17: Overruled!

Looking GREAT! What spring rates did they use or you opt for? Everything I see is 6/8k.

Just wanted to update this in case anyone else wanted to try different options. I ended up buying the Tein Street Advance kit discussed below.

The front was perfect offering a nice ride and good range of height adjustability. The rear fit was great as well but did not offer enough height adjustability. The rear coils are much shorter and at the highest ride setting I barely had a 1 finger gap tire to fender. Struts offered good dampening and the ride was very good overall. The rear would benefit from a bit taller coil but other than that it was a perfect fit. This kit would be great for someone wanting LOOOOWWW!

I decided to order custom coilovers like others are doing. I have Teins and eibach soon to be listed FS if anyone is interested.

So I’m pretty happy with my Megan coil overs. As expected ride is a bit rough with coilovers, but not horrible. I have the front and rears almost all the way down and I’m at 25 3/4 “ in the front and 26” in the rear from the ground to fender. I feel as though it sits exactly how I want it so I’m pleased.

I have the front set half way and the rear a few clicks from max stiffness to help with the rubbing and I hate when the rear squats.

What model number Teins are you running? I recently emailed them for coils for the 8th Gen and they don't make them. Are you running them from and Altima or 7th Gen Max? How did you get a set...definitely interested in Teins for my setup.
