Any idea what's the ideal break-in milage for the 17 Max?

Picked up my 17 Pearl white Platinum on July 4th and have 2k miles on her already. She definitely feels like she's all broken in. I haven't been gunning it at all really but feel like it's about that time..hmm

For me I didn't do anything special except changing the engine oil at 5K km.
I don't know why I don't believe that we have to break-in new cars.
I have had my car for 15 months and it has 70k km now with no issues.

Manual says stay under 4K rpm, and no hard braking for the first 1200 miles. After that you should be good
