Thoughts on Different Tire Size

So I have been looking at upping the tire size, I am thinking of going to 245/50R18. Stock tire height is 26.7in and these would be 27.6in, so about an inch taller. I have crawled around and I think they would fit. What do you guys think? Would they rub like crazy or would they fill out the fender better and raise the car about half an inch. Side note car is stock ride height.

i think that you will close the gap about half an inch.
you will probably get less road noise.

So I crawled under my car and measured steering at both full angles and from stock tire sizes on the back edge have less than a pencils distance to the plastic fender liner. I need to see how much space is free behind the liner and possibly heat and push it away before trying bigger tires. Might just break down and do eibachs
