Winter tires and wheels

Last year at this time I had a 2016 Subaru WRX, and I had a seperate set of winter wheels and tires that I swapped out in my garage. I have traded in the car for the Maxima, and I still have that extra set of winter wheels and tires. How would I be able to find out if that set of wheels and tires will fit on my Maxima?

What I found out is that the pitch circle diameter (PCD) of the wheel is the same for both cars, 5X114.3 so they should fit the Maxima. You didn't mention the wheel, tire size or offset of the Subaru so take that into consideration, but the hole pattern will fit.

One thing I forgot to mention is the Center Bore of the Subaru is 56.1mm and the Maxima is 66.1mm, so the wheel will not fit over the Maxima's hub.

Thanks for the info. The wheels came with centering rings that slip onto the wheel and center the wheel on the hub. I will likely just need to get a different centering ring for the Maxima. Possibly different lug nuts? Not sure on that one. The size of the winter tires that are on these wheels is 235/45R17. The wheel size is 17x7.5. So, since the wheels will fit with a different centering ring, will this size of tire that is mounted on these wheels work with my car?

Did you try jacking up one corner of the car and putting one of the Subaru wheels on the Maxima?

Your speed will be off with the different tire size. If you got to discount tires website for example there is a tire size calculator that will show you the difference.

I'm coming from a situation almost exactly like yours. I have the same size tires on rims and I decided to put mine for sale on craigslist. I felt size difference between what's on my SR midnight vs those 17 inchers enough to get new ones. I'm currently shopping for 18 inch winter tires now and waiting for a good sale.

I havent yet. I know I will need new centering rings for the wheels before they will fit.

The only downside of the Maxima is the snow tire issue. You need the exact size of the OEM rims that come stock (18 inch) Without checking, I remember the offset to be 55mm. Not much room in the wheel wells as it is.

2012 Maxima OEM rims fit perfectly with winters that are the 2015 and up OEM size.

Are you sure about that? It looks like tire rack lists other wheel sizes as options.
