"Wife ran up on a curb"... riiiiiight.... kidding. This is why my wife NEVER drives my cars.

Bought her a new Fusion several years back, when I sold it in February all 4 rims were chewed to pieces 😩

Paint for your rims? I honestly don't think you can just paint away the scrapes. You either need to take them to a professional to have them smooth the areas out or you're buying new rims. THAT'S why you don't let someone else drive that you might think for a second that they will scrape up your rims because they will never ever look the same again. Sorry bro.

Bigboppa - In my opinion, your best option is to have a wheel repair tech fix the wheels. What your wife did is fairly common with this 8th gen Maxima. I did it with both my right side wheels, and I had not done anything like that in around fifty years.

All Nissan dealers have a wheel person they can call to do this kind of work. It will not be a full-time employee of the dealership, but a self-employed person who usually is on call for several dealers, as well as for the general public. Your Nissan dealer service manager will be able to give you a name and phone number.

This sort of repair is not cheap. They generally charge somewhere between $100 and $200 per wheel. But this is far cheaper than buying new wheels.

Many of these type techs do not take charge cards, so find out up front how he wants to be paid.

p.s. - The color of your car is not related to the color of the wheels, and I do not think painting over the damage will be satisfactory in the long run. But it may be acceptable for you in the short term. Just my opinion.

The garage attendant at my office really messed up my rear right wheel a week after I bought the car...it was really shredded. The garage agreed to paying to have it corrected... I found it just as cheap and a lot easier to buy a new replacement wheel...found the exact replacement on line for $240 with free shipping...The garage also paid to have it remounted and balanced. I looked at some alloy wheel repair places and most of them seemed questionable. I'm extra careful when parallel parking and us the camera setting that shows the side of the car at curb level with markings to safely line up with the curb. The tires give ZERO protection from curb rash.

capecoder spot on about tires give zero protection to wheel edges. This is a combination of lack of rub strip on tire sidewalls and poor wheel shoulder design. MY wife and I now either find a very wide space to park or one of us gets out and directs the other one in parking. But if raining, we use the birds eye view from overhead and park very carefully.

The OEM wheels are cheap compared to other cars. You can buy them on the Nissan e store, and they currently have a 25% off all accessories until the end of the month. Have it sent to a nearby dealer for pick up and save $$ on shipping. Check the online price at several dealers as the price can vary quite a bit.

I bought the OEM wheels found with the Medallion package for $584 +tax. This is for all 4!. I plan on using my current wheels for winter tires.
