Added a few USB Ports to my Max

One of the most useful mods I have ever done. I purchased a 6 port 12v USB charger, capable of powering each port at 5v@2.4A. Really useful as I can keep my sat beacon, running watch, headlamp, and iPad all plugged in and charging. And for the most part they can be in my glovebox or center console, which means no wires all over the cabin when I am driving.

Nice! That has a really finished look. I'm not brave enough to attempt something like that without a detailed parts list and dumbed-down instructions though. :P

Once the shift **** is removed, i pinched the area between the cupholders and just pulled up. Its secured via clips, so pull up and back and it will slide out.

I dont have the cooling seat buttons, so once I take it out, are there a lot of connectors to be unplugged to then replace with the new cup holder console??

Not sure, but there weren't too many connectors in mine. I'd say try it and see.

Thanks! Yeah this isnt a drop-in, it certainly required some dremeling. It was pretty easy though - wire up a 12v USB charger, dremel some holes in convenient locations and snap the connectors in. Cover the wires in foam tape to eliminate rattling and plug the usb connectors in. Put everything back together and Bob's your uncle. Hardest part was figuring out where in the trim would have sufficient clearance for the connectors on the backside. The glovebox is in a weird spot because its the only spot the connector housing would fit, and even then, just barely.
