Transmission question

I've been driving CVTs for about seven years, all Nissans. I've noticd something in my Maxima that confuses me. If I stop at a light, when it turns green I press the gas. Usually I use light to moderate acceleration as most of my driving is suburban commuting. The Max doesn't really move but then I feel the CVT briefly (slip?) slide ratios and then the car moves. It'll ref around 2000RPM with next to no forward velocity.

This feels weird to me - does anyone else experience this with their Max? Mines a 17 with about 2500km.

I have not noticed this in my 2009 Premium or my 2016 Platinum. I will be very interested in knowing if others here have noticed this. If not, then it may be time to have the dealer check this out. At the low mileage you have, the CVT should be performing perfectly.

That there is a major issue. Take it in.
