Do dealers ever trade wheels?

I've got my eye on a nice lightly-used blue platinum, but I really don't like the double spoked wheels. The double spoked are supposed to be the premium wheels, but I just like the look of the standard ones better.

Has anyone ever tried swapping them out at the dealership, or do you think they would for a small fee? I wasn't really planning to spend extra on a full set of wheels.

Ask? They may swap wheels with another Maxima on the same lot providing they are the same size.

There will likely be some kind of fee involved if you already got them down to the bear bones lowest rock bottom price already. That should be your plan though, beat them down so low that they can't even give you a car wash for free!

I actually had my dealer swap them out on my 2016 Platinum when I bought it. I didn't like the premium wheels either. I had them credit me the difference in the negotiation. Worked out just fine.

In 2016 there were 16,708 franchised dealers in the United States, and they sold a record 17.5 million new vehicles.

The possibilty exists that one or more of those 16,708 dealers might swap wheels.
