New 2018 Jemini Performance Ypipe for 7th and 8th gen maxima

Hi Max Fam! The time has come for this project to take flight.

As you know not many options in this department right now other than Motordyne. I wanted to bring another option to the table for those looking for the original Racingline upgrade and smooth power and performance from the y-pipe.

What not many of you know is that Racingline used only the basic materials to build the original ypipe. I had it tested and it revealed the actual material of pipe was mild steel with Aluminum on the surface, SS201 for flexible pipes, and mild steel for the flanges. Through much research ss201 is not suitable for this product because of the high corrosion and lower quality of stainless steel. I could have gone aluminized, ss201 or even ss409 or ss410; but I chose ss304. According to summit racing and many other websites ss304 is the top of the line material you can use and will last over 8-10 years. please read the following articles for your own insights. SS304 is miles ahead of ss201.

I've been a part of the 7th gen maxima group for almost 4 years now. I'm not here to scam anyone or take anyone's money and I've dealt with alot of people here. The company I've contracted with needs an up front deposit. I'm buying a house right now so I cannot make any purchases this big at the moment. The pricing I am offering on these will be $300 plus shipping. However, I need just 5 people to put a deposit down to get this started. I will offer free shipping to those 5. If I can get 10 I would be willing to offer free shipping to those 10. Anything beyond the 10 will be $300 plus shipping. A great price if you ask me considering this:

These come with a 2 year warranty and ALL GASKETS ARE INCLUDED!

You need to be a Vendor to offer a Group Deal such as this...

Thanks for bringing this product out to your fellow Maxima enthusiasts.

To become a Vendor, please call 1.888.879.0146 and/or visit https://www.internetbrands.com/contact-us/

Note, IB is not the easiest to get a hold of, so trying reaching them from different avenues (ie through the "Contact Us" at the bottom of the forum)

Thank you

I'm interested! Let me know when the prototype is ready, deposits are ready to be accepted, and when the estimated ship dates would be.

So I want to update everyone. Jemini prototype was installed on 2/19/18 and has been flawless. install was perfect, everything lined up and I do have videos on 7th gen maxima facebook. It's been running great. I did confirm this will fit the 8th gen maxima. production for the lot is underway and will be completed by the end of the month. they will ship all ypipes to me then I will register as a vendor through the org and will begin direct sales. I did get enough deposits to finish paying the company, so this IS HAPPENING! THANK YOU ALL! I will update in a few weeks.

When do you anticipate being recognized as a Vendor?

Hey Wizard. when I have all ypipes in stock and ready to ship, i'll officially sign up as a Vendor with the org's company and begin direct sales. i'll also list on ebay and possibly amazon. all transactions will be protected and official with an invoice from my company. i'm not asking for funds at this time.

I'll possibly be interested... why is this one better than the motordyne one? New to the maxima exhaust coming from a 17 mustang gt with an exhaust.

Hey Crisisx1, first why did you get rid of the 5.0 Mustang!? LOL secondly, I never stated this was better than Motordyne. "better" is a matter of opinion when it comes to maxima owners. It's equivalent for sure. It's different because it's one of a kind and different design than Motordyne. yes it was based on the Racingline model, but this has been superiorly done with complete 304ss build which won't rust and miles ahead of Racingline. this is new, custom gaskets that are included, corrected ubend and shortened .5 inches to meet oem specs. Motordyne owners love their exhaust and it's a great product, my whole goal was to bring something into the market that people who can't afford Motordyne or didn't like the sound can afford/buy this. at roughly $330-375 shipped it's a great product and will make many people happy and turn their maxima into a better performing car. I've been running the prototype since 2/19 and I can tell you it's a big difference. seen power gains from 0 and pickup from any speed, better mpgs when I stay off of it. more aggressive sound. if you're interested drop me your zip code and email in a pm and i'll email you an invoice from the company and you can pay when you're ready after I register as a vendor in about a month or less.

Although I have a motordyne ypipe and stillen axleback exhaust I was wondering if I could find a place to buy an exhaust header. if you guys have any plans on producing that in the near future I would def be a customer for that.

@ Mahhdd, no this does not cause any emissions testing or issues. only deletes the 3rd unmetered cat. no CEL lights or anything.

@ Amerinamese, I have multiple videos on FB groups for 7th gen maxima, Nissan maxima owners club, and Jemini Performance FB page. I would encourage you to find me on there, Adam Chevront. search my name and you'll find the install videos and Jemini page has multiple takoffs and sound clips.

@Smokeydriver, I don't have any 8th gen sound clips, yet. some of my sales will be o the 8th gen community, but as of right now 3/22/18, only the prototype has been installed on a 7th gen.

@rablaze93, I am currently looking into possible header production for 7th gen maxima. I don't know if there is a difference for 8th gen on headers yet, i'll have to grab one and see but that may be some time away. in the near future i'll have to purchase a set of the OBX headers for myself to install to see if it's truly a fit and any modifications that need done, then I can produce a quote for a group buy, and have step by step instructions and get anything that needs modded done so people can DIY it. I like things done right the first time, and easily re-creatable by others.

Ahhhh okay got it! Can't wait for it then! I was thinking that the 7th gen header would fit to the 8th gen because the motordyne y pipe fit for both models. Great work though! Can't wait to see what else you plan to produce for the maxima in the future since there aren't many mods for it at the moment

so, for the green-minded drivers, how much difference are the emission levels between the oem vs this setup?

i am thinking about doing this mod, too.

I'm not sure what you mean by the emissions. if this is something I can have tested I will. if you mean like smell or fumes no difference to me that I've noticed. I do notice significant power gain and pickup from any speed including zero. Also I've noticed this last tank an increase in mpg if you can stay off of it. I was averaging 350 miles city/highway combined, this tank i'm on par for about 450.

Ohh yess if possible you might need to do a state emissions test at the dealer or any other shop. The emissions test is about how much carbon emissions are leaving your exhaust pipe as the car runs. If the product ends up producing more power but increases the emissions then it might not pass the state test and some people might fear that their car won't be driveable because their car won't be able to pass that test.

thank california.
and this is something some folks have in-mind.
if the test shows acceptable, it will open the market of this mod.

Keep in mind that the OEM Y pipe has incorporate a catalytic converter unmetered. But I do not know how much it influences in reducing carbon emissions.

I just got back from a trip from Las Vegas to Bakersfield. trip out It only took 1/2 tank to get there. that's 285 miles. I didn't track mpg at that time.

Trip back I got 27mpg and used a little less than 1/2 tank using cruise control most of the time. so i'm very impressed with ALL my mods, the JPP being one of them. this car just cruised at 80-100mph. this tank i'll get over 500 miles out of it.

I'll see what I can find out as far as emissions testing. we do have smog here in Nevada but i'm not due until August.

I'm arranging shipping for the ypipes now. in a few weeks i'll have them all in my possession and will register as a vendor. I appreciate everyone hanging in there, I know it's been a long time (6 months in the making) but it's all coming together for good.

Since things are progressing nicely and you're close to asking for payment/shipping within the next few weeks, I see no reason not to finalize becoming a Vendor. Once you're a Vendor, please shoot me a PM and I'll gladly re-open the thread.

Thank you.
