Question About 17' Platinum Wheel Locks

Bought McGard 21153 Chrome Regular Shank Wheel Locks (M12 x 1.25 Thread Size) to use as wheel locks on my 17' Platinum. Trying to see if these are the right ones. These were the only shank/mag locks they offered in this size. The only thing making me nervous was the seating. The wheel locks are completely flat at the end, while the oem lug nut has a bit of an acorn pattern at the end. But they are both the shank/mag style. Does anyone have a definitive answer to this? checked tons of threads but no conclusive answers.

I wish I could help, but I honestly am not sure you have a fit. I do know that the McGard wheel lock set that came on the 8th gen Maximas at my dealer were McGard part number 82561. Not having had a lug off my 8th gen Platinum as of yet, I am not positive of the lug shape, but the lug nuts on all eight prior Maximas I have owned to date were very definitely acorn-shaped.

You may wish to check this out with McGard. Their toll-free phone number is:

1-800-444-5847.

I would not use them. You need mag seat lugs. Don't know if they're available in a locking style or not.

Confirmed as lightonthehill stated.

McGard Part#82561
Nissan Part#9992-JT000

Cheaper to order straight from McGard & get extra key one time to save on the shipping.
