@dthompson254 Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the forum. I believe I’m the only one on the forum with 22’s on their max. Although I could be wrong about that but, as much as it’s been brought up and talked about on here I’m the only one that’s chimed in and debated about it. It’s been brought up a few times and I’ve weighed in due to having real world experience dealing with what is now my 2nd set of 22’s on the 8th gen. But to answer your question YES 22’s will fit on your max. Now depending on the width of your wheels and offset and the size of the tires you go with will all play a part in if you have to do any modifications to your car to make it work. My first set were Ruff Racing R1 chrome wheels that were 22X9 with a +38 offset. The tires were 235/30R22. And with that setup YES I had to slightly modify a few things to make it work so the steering wheel could turn lock to lock with no problems. My 2nd set is by Strada and those are 22X8.5 and running the same size tire as before. I’ll attach a pic of my max with the first set of wheels on it so you can see what it looks like. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask. Again welcome and congrats.
D@mn, you could replace the brake pads without a jack or taking the wheels off, there's so much space! I'm not a fan of big wheels, but you really picked a good looking rim! Looks great!
Out of curiosity, why the second set, were the first damaged? And is it a challenge on rough roads?

@MadMax07SL Hahahahaha! True that! It took me awhile to find something to me I would call simple or plain. So thank you. I know not a lot of people are not fans of 22’s or big wheels on maximas or any other cars for that matter but, I wanted something different this time around. My 7th gen was on air ride and had 20X11’s all the way around which was cool but who doesn’t have that now a days. So when I got into my 8th gen I didn’t want to do the whole air ride thing again and went in a sense simple but to be different with the 22’s. And I am now on my second set due to the first set of having a manufactures defect with the chrome. So I had to send them back because they no longer make that wheel in chrome. Which if I had known I would have not gotten them because it was a big ordeal dealing with the so-called warranty on them. But they took care of it and sent me a second set which is similar in design but they are concave. So same 5 star/spoke but concave. And the width is .5in smaller. And as far as rough roads go... I mean that’s inevitable. The inner city is worse than out where I live. But as long as there isn’t any major potholes it’s fine. And I just have not taken any pictures of the new wheels yet. But when I get it all washed up I will. I like the second set way better than the first.

Reason: Left out some info. Lol
@The Wizard Lol! I mean the 22’s look like they fit the car should you see it in person. But hell I’ve even seen 26’s and 28’s on a maxima. Now that’s something to see. Lol! But yea I get it. I never knock anyone’s hustle you know how that is. We all like what we like. Same gang same family.
holy mother of God.
I'm driving the wrong car - clearly in the wrong demographic group.
@lindros2
No no no. I’m sure you’re good right where you are. Lol. Hey I’m 41 not dead. I still enjoy being different from the rest. Or so I’d like to think that I am. As the saying goes, “different strokes for different folks”.
