Is it supposed to be cool or something? And doesn't a catch can go on the engine? Wouldn't the cool guy thing be to write "VQ35DE"?

What do you intend to accomplish with this? Most VQ35DE's are tight little ******', with very little blow-by. Are you having blow-by problems?

Yes, catch can go in the engine bay. It catches oil vapors that typically gunk up the intake manifold, IAC, EGR etc over a long period of time. Typically boosted vehicles benefit the most from catch cans.

Well, the VQ35DE goes back all the way to 2002, spanning 4 generations now, so I guess it doesn't come across too special, hence the OP's use of "A36".

I plan to keep my A36 for a long time so figured a oil catch can would help with prevention maintenance and carbon build up. Plus I want to see how much oil gets in there after a while. I originally thought the engine was direct injection but found on here its actually a multi port injection so I'm not as worried as before. I think I'm going to do it anyway.
