I bought a used Maxima 2017 Platinum and realized that the front sensors weren’t working. When parking no motion detected, in blind spot situations wouldn’t recognize cars. Although the back sensors work, thank god, the front ones don’t. So i went ahead and bought replacement sensors to replace the front ones. I bought the part 28438-3SHOB. But when I installed them and turned on the car and placed an object in front of the sensors, nothing was picked up. So I was wondering if anyone had trouble like this as well, if so how did you fix it.
Make sure the sensor mode is on in the settings. Sounds like its on because the back ones are working but check anyway. Maybe turn on and off to see if that works. Sounds complicated might have to bring it to the dealership.
There is no warranty left I assume, as you are trying to fix it yourself. The original sensors are probably still good and the problem lays elsewhere, wiring, connectors, or the receiving unit. I myself, really inept at vehicle electrical stuff, would have had the dealership at least diagnose the problem before buying new sensors, those things are expensive.
This is a case where the dealership and there diagnostic body computer(s) should be used to see where the disconnect is. Sorry you have gone this far without a fix
"Make sure the sensor mode is on in the settings" I second this suggestion too. Thanks for keeping us in the loop.

I did try that and nothing happened. I tried it with the old sensors and the new sensors when installed. Hoped it was just a glitch or something but it wasn’t :/

I’m still within bumper to bumper I think. It’s a 2017 and 20k miles. But idk if it covered it or anything which is why I didn’t bother. I bought them from ebay actually and didn’t cost a lot, so they might not be legit.

My dealer was recently bought out by another group and the way they run things is not very consumer friendly, which is why I didn’t bother going to them and took the initiative myself.
