Question CVT questions, and how do I check fluid level?

I have 2017 SR maxima that I brought to Nissan for service last week. First they told me the entire transmission needed to be replaced and it would be covered under warranty since I only have 31,000 miles. When I went to pick up the car the paperwork only showed the control module was replaced. When I questioned them about it they told me they misspoke and they didn't change the entire transmission just a part of it. Now I'm noticing that when I'm braking and I get to around 20mphs the RPMS on the dashboard go up. This happens almost every time I slow down now. Also I just went to check the CVT fluid and there is no dipstick to check it. I used a friends of mine who has a older maxima and black sludge came out. I called Nissan to ask them how they could return a car with no fluids and they told me there is no way for me to check the CVT fluid unless I get under the car, I'm not sure if this is true or a lie.

the search engine is a great tool here on the Org

https://maxima.org/forums/8th-genera...uid-level.html

If you plan to stick around, please title your threads properly. "Help" is the lamest and most non-descriptive thread title; and helps no one who uses the search function. I revised your thread title. Welcome to the Org.

No dipstick is present on these cars! Just a filler tube. The best thing to do is bring the car back to dealer. Should have a code stored by now....one.... that may not show on the dash as a trouble light.
