Windshield washer not working 2017 maxima

went to clean my dirty windshield today and nothing sprayed on the windshield. Didn't get a notice that the reservoir was empty but filled it either way. Held the lever for a couple seconds and still nothing. Looked under the car and pavement was dry, and the liquid levels stayed the same, is there a common cause for this/ what should I check. Please tell me it easy! (probably won't be, I know)

The easy way is to take it to a mechanic or dealer.
The internet is full of ideas if you want to try to fix it yourself, such as checking the fuse, checking if the nozzles are clogged, and replacing the pump if necessary.

Did you hear the washer motor humming/buzz when you pull the lever? If not the motor is shot, or the fuse could be blown

getting to the washer motor requires removing the passenger front wheel, pull back on the fender guard to expose the jug and motor. … not hard…

so how much do you think it would be if i took it to the dealer? Either for the fuse or the motor?

This is a simple DIY with simple house tools.

stealership could be upwards of 2 hours labor charges, then parts cost…hhhmmmm $450 ballpark. Unconfirmed.

I did this on my 11 a few weeks back, to find out the motor rubber piece that sits into the jug was leaking…. I used electrical tape to reseal

Surgery almost like this video short of a few shortcuts.
