Advice on Used 2016 Maxima Purchase

Hi Maxima community,

I found a 2016 Maxima SL with 115K miles for $7200. It’s in great shape, but I’m concerned about CVT issues. Any insights on reliability and common problems? Do you think it’s a good deal?

Thanks

Put aside about $3,000 for a replacement CVT and buy the car.

Have a Nissan dealer scan this car for all trouble codes. Some will show up on the scanner that don't fire the check engine light. Worth the diagnostic charges the dealer might levy.
