AE front and rear lips cracked

What's up everybody? I bought the Anniversary Edition front and rear lip pieces to put on my '03 Maxima. I didn't think to search beforehand but found out the front lip doesn't easily fit the 02/03 Maxima bumpers. In any event both pieces have cracks on them that I would like to try DIY repairing, although I never did work like this before. Are these pieces made of fiber glass or plastic? I'm leaning towards fiberglass but not entirely sure, and want to know what it's made of so I use the right material to fix the cracks. Any suggestions/ tips/ ideas would be greatly appreciated!

The cracks aren't too bad however do need to be joined. I've watched some DIY vids on how to fix this as well as read on what tools, materials, and methods exist. Some say to use soldering irons to melt the pieces and "weld" them together. Others seemed to use glue (for smaller cracks) to join the pieces back together. Has anyone tried repairing one of these (or a similar kit) and had success/ feedback they can share?

The cracks are no wider than a nickel's thickness. As far as pictures sharing, I have to go the route of creating a photo bucket account, or something along those lines, in order for pictures to share properly?

Thank you for your responses, BTW. I'll look for duramix and make this one of my spring time projects...and eventually I'll figure out how to share pictures of the completed work on my car

you can actually upload the photos directly in your post as an attachment. I believe the AE pieces are abs plastic. I have a set that that I got from a pull a part yard and the letters abs were stamped on them. Mine have cracks as well.
