Rear strut bolt problems...HELP!!!!!!!!

I put on my s-tech's today and when i was reinstalling the driver side rear the bolt that runs though the strut was extremely hard to turn, naturally the da** nut that is fixed to the piece strips out on me.... The bolt is at least 3/4 of the way tight but not fully.. It's so tight in fact that i cant even get it off!!

Any suggestions? Will it be ok like that? I can't even get it off so i don't see how it could come loose....

Are you sure it's the nut that stripped?

Had the same issue. I used a long pry bar to wedge in between the nut and the tab so the nut wouldn't turn as I tightened it. It sucks so I know how you feel. I finally got it snugged up. If worse comes to worse, cut the bolt off and buy some grade 8 hardware...

you must have not started the threads right and stripped it. On top of the nut on the shock there's a little tab that you can lock a vice-grip on and tighten underneath with a wrench.
