building a SBK/BBK

i wasnt sure if i sould place this here or in the 1/4mile section, but i figured this made a tiny bit more sence, anywhoo

im currently running 04rotors+a33 calipers on my 00, and soon to be running z32 calipers with either my 04 or cobra brembo rotors, which ever fits better under my rims. while those are great with 17inch+ rims thats not gonna be the best for the track. 1/4track, id keep my bbk for road n auto-Xing

while swapping rotors and relocation kits is pie, id prefer not to have to reflush the system everytime i wanna go to the track. so i was thinking of keeping my z32 calipers on all the time, since they shouldnt make much difference in acc since theyre not rotating, and just swapping to a smaller rotor. a few bolts in a few minutes and boom! i can run a 16 perhaps even 15inch rim.

only problem is that the caliper itself as many already know is quite bulky in the wrong dimensions. has anyone tried this setup and if so what rims were u able to run, or would reccommned i run at the track?

ill be running soem decent power come spring and i figure ill get better times if i can run a smaller rim with taller tires. am i correct in my logic?

if you mill down the diameter of your STOCK rotors (4mm, IIRC) the z32 calipers will bolt up to the stock mounting brackets.....

as to the outer clearance, you just need a rim with a high offset. Pretty sure with that setup the z32 16's would work

i no longer have a set of stock rotors. since ill be rotor shopping, would any other rotors work ie j30,z32?

and i should look for the z32 tt rear rims right since theyre wider, right?

correct, the rear rims are wider...by an inch over the fronts if I can remember right...

I do believe the J30 is the same rotor as the Z32's...but you still need to mill either one for your calipers to bolt up to the stock torque member...

ask maximus_95 he had the Z32 calipers and Z32 rotors on his car for a while till he upgraded to the cobra rotors...
