How often do you guys replace the spring pins that touch the pads?

The haynes manual says they should be replaced everytime you change your pads. I just noticed 2 of mine were stuck while I was doing my brakes today.
I don't think they have ever been changed since I got the car!

Replaced them at around 80K. I'd replace them when they lose their tension. Other's will say to leave them off completely.
