how hard is it to get ksports rebuilt?

how hard is it to get ksports rebuilt?

just wondering if its possible to get ksports rebuilt and what the average cost is. any help appreciated. thx!

Yes it is. Last I was aware, Ksport actually gets their rebuilds done by a shop that does a lot of work for professional racing teams, including NASCAR.

I think the cost is something like $75-$100 per damper, but I'm not sure. Try to get in touch with Ksport support (www.ksportusa.com).

hmm if some pro racing shop rebuilds them, then maybe the coilovers will be even more resistant to abuse? of course nobody on here will know the answer to this, but has anybody had a damper fail after getting rebuilt, without any abnormal conditions(curb/huge pothole/etc)?

There's a chance, but don't count on it. What you can count on is that if the original damper had a defect, there's a 99% chance that it will be fixed with the rebuild.

I'm sure the shop could rebuild the dampers to be stronger, though. Ksport offers dampers with upgraded internals (on other coilover kits), so the parts are available. You'd just have to specify that you want that and pay extra for it.

that might be a smart idea, it shouldn't cost TOO much more and would give you even more reliability
