Need new brake pads and rotors

My car needs new pads and rotors. I use my car everyday and I figured I might as well upgrade to something better than oem replacements since they need to be replaced. Any recomendations on some rotors and pads?

rotors: just get some brembo blanks. Note: drilled/slotted rotors are NOT an upgrade, in case you were wondering.

pads: Hawk HPS. the consensus choice.

I've had Hawk hps pads combined with cheap $30 rotors for over a year no problems. Great stopping power for this car. Make sure you use that anti squeel spray goo on the back of you pads. I did the same thing with a buddies car 01 Grand Prix last fall but used Hawk ceramics. No problems there either. Great F'ing pads wouldn't use any other ever again.

that's more of a preference...I have never put that stuff on any of the pads that I have changed and there are no issues what so ever. The techs at work are 50/50 on it as well. All that I do is just clean and lube the sliding pins
