ground control question???

i just got some ground controls and i'm messin around putting them on my car right now to see what the drop looks like. can these go with the stock shocks and struts??? i got the reaers on but cant figure out how to put them on the front. the sleeve wont fit over the strut. does anyone know how to put the ground control on the stock shock/struts in the front???

1. no. stock struts aren't even stiff enough for stock springs. you'll look like a rathole civic with fleabay "coilovers" if you put them on the stock struts.

2. read the instructions that came with your kit. it shows you how and what to do to install them. IF you can't figure it out from that, then you don't need to be doing the install by yourself.

modification of the strut is needed in order for the sleeve to fit. there should be instructions in the box.
and another thing, upgrade your stock struts. youll be so much happier with a working suspension rather than blown struts and a bouncy a$s ride.

The ground control kits are diff depending on the struts you are using. There is a kit that will fit the stock strut. Do you know what struts your kit is for???

I too just recently bought some ground controls...the back i feel was properly installed..but the front...ever time i jack up the car..the cooils wud move around..any pictures of how it sopose to be installed?

that's normal when you use a sleeve-over kit. the 8" long springs can't account for the 15ft long struts you guys have up front.

better than the fleabay sleeves, not as good as a real coilover.
