The general consensus is Brembo Blanks with Hawk HPS. there are a ton of threads on this.

If you want an upgrade over stock size get the 6th gen rotors and calipers

Bigger than stock and clear the stock SE rims for 02-03.

If you want a BBK, get the Wilwood BBK with 2-piece rotors.

If you want to save a bunch of money and buy something that is not way way overkill for the street, get Hawk HPS pads with Brembo blank rear rotors and Brembo blank or slotted front rotors.

Curious about how much that would be, it would have to be a custom BBK.

And I don't want to bother Matt and ask him about his, seeing as I've already been incessantly questioning him about the 2k4 2piece rotors.

the CHEAPEST BBK is prolly z32 calipers with cobra rotors or 6th gen calipers with 6th gen rotors...... aside from that you can buy full bolt on kits such as ksport, stillen, brembo, wilwood, stainless steel brakes, and ap racing.

I have a 2001 Maxima SE and would like to go with the 6th gen calipers and rotors. What brand would you recommend for the calipers? Most of what I have been able to find is reman OE calipers...

that's about your only choice. Or you can hit a junkyard and pull them off a 6th gen. For remans, Cardone calipers (Pep boys has them) are a good choice and inexpensive.

Hey Irish, looks like I'm going with lightweight rims at some point, gonna sell the beautiful rims what brakes with what rims do you run?? as in trying to figure out what brakes go with my rims now and the rims I'm getting later.

assuming z32 calipers work on all of these things, still doing some reading but for $20 hoping I can be a little lazy too. search is good for all those smart people lol

thx
