Thoughts on making a rear BBK bracket?

Those who manufacture BBK brackets for our community, what are your thoughts on making something for the rear? I would consider buying a rear bracket that allows clearence for a 5th or even 6th gen rotor out back, while keeping the stock caliper.

With performance brake pads this may be a cost effective alternative then adding new calipers in the rear, helping brake bias as well as looks. Would also take away the need of a better BMC to run the better calipers in the rear...

Looking at something like that, but without the rotors. That kit in particular is expensive IMO, but you get the idea.

Comments negative and positive welcome. I would just hate to have nice big rotors in the front with the stock dinky rotors in the rear

I apologize ahead of time if this topic has been discussed, thanks!

Edit: WTF happened to my title? Im pretty sure i didn't type it like that Mods if you can please edit when you have time

title has been fixed, but this thread is going to have a very short leash...

This topic has been discussed many times. Here is one of the better threads:

Cliffs: you don't need a rear BBK unless you have something BIG up front.
Cliffs: a rear BBK is more complicated than a front, since you also have to deal with the e-brake.

Didn't even consider the E-brake, the idea was mostly for looks, to have something bigger in the rear would be nice, but if it can't be done without extensive modifications than thats fine...

I'll have to do some more research on compatible rear setups, thanks for not pounding me down on the subject. Maybe some interest will come in and start something for the 4th gen as that thread is semi-old...

Matt blehm makes/made a kit for the rear using Z32 rear calipers and rotors. All told it was about $1000.00 and has a working ebrake.

It's a great kit, but if you're just looking for "looks" you probably don't want (or need) to spend that much.
