Cold weather and initial bite

Anybody noticed with Hawk HPS that it seems to have better initial bite and overall performance when it's cold outside? More emphasis on the initial bite since i always thought these babies need to be warmed up first. Could it be from the somewhat rigid rubber lines that haven't heat expanded yet?
