interesting find with pocket logger

well with my 3.5 setup i was playin around with a logger for the first time, and........at WOT with a load timing is a around 20degrees but while cruise part throttle its 40-50 , I dynoed 238whp with that sh!tty a$$ timing I think the knock sensor is gonna get swapped out for a 4th gen one i hear they are better.......any opinions on the timing and where anyone elses is running.??????

Timing at WOT stays below 25 on the VQ30, I assume the VQ35 is similar. Timing will always be greater at part throttle than full throttle, I believe.

That's not right Tilley. My DEK advances timing at WOT to redline upto 50-60degrees even using my OBD-II scanner.

Stock VQ35s run far more advance then VQ30s even with the additional 0.3 CR due to their long reach spark plugs and superior cooling heads.

Drop your AFR down to 13.5:1, I think you're getting detonation running 14:1+.

SMT6/SMT7 are cheap and can advance timing, but I'd choose the Unichip which can do that and a lot more.

If he stayed on the go pedal for a while (30 sec) it would drop into the teens and lower
