I agree. 2500 was a conservative estimate.

Good luck with the runs, I'm not a 1/4 racer at all, but I wish I could get my 01 to 2500lbs and have my power.

Thanks, it is going to be interesting to see how it pans out. Me and Ben lightened the car up a good bit last weekend as seen here.
The car is riding on Sprints, and looks almost like it is on stock springs. I can't see where we will be able to make it on the 11th now. We have a suspension issue to sort out, and have something screwy going on with the car making it run poorly. I think I know what it is though.

I would say 16 is close to both airbags, controller, and all wiring.

No backpressure is best, what you need is velocity. having a 3" exhaust on a N/A will slow down the exhaust gasses, as they expand to fill the 3" hole. If you had 400 Hp coming out of the car, with head work, cams and maybe a 3.5 Turbo, then 3" would be acceptable. you need to go back to 2.5 to keep the velocity up. Also do not use a "louvered" exhaust component. like the resonator, or muffler. The louvers can create more backpressure than with stock. Use a perforated core instead. 3" exhaust belongs on a Supra, Rex, or Grand National.

Best of luck!

I did read most of it. But somehow the discussion got so off topic at some point that I just skimmed through the last 1/2 page.

It's not problem. I took the car out last weekend afet Ben and myself did some work to it. It has a bad knock in the suspension and it is not running just right. I think I know what both problems are, and I am going to try to get them fixed tomorrow. I hope to go out next friday night. Also I just got the slicks thursday.
As far as the exhaust thing goes, More than likely we will be on stock exhaust the first time out. There was a thread last week sometime about a guy that installed a cutout and gained 5HP on the dyno over his straight through muffler and aftermarket B pipe. I am going to try the 2.75" pipe that I have. It did not cost me anything, so it is worth a shot.

Good Luck Plurco and Ben,

it should run fast on slicks (maybe clean throttle body before you run?)

try to get it on video

No doubt man...it better be a joke...

Actually, you could wax the car. That always helped me run a smidge faster than when "unclean"...

tape up the gaps between the headlight and hood and cover the openings in the front of the car to reduce drag coefficient i'm not joking, but be careful when u cover the front openings, u might over heat.

I guess cleaning the throttlebody is the best way to go fast. And to think I spend over $2000 in go fast NA mods alone. Time to start selling off my stuff and just buy Seafoam instead.

Yeah, right. It's the only raised limit ECU out on the road until TS focuses on selling the service to the rest of the community and I wouldn't let it go for any amount of money at this point. Plus the price would be higher than 400 bones.

well it does not look good for this weekend either. Ben and myself still need to iron out a few issues, and we were not able to coordinate schedules this past weekend. (car is at his house 35 miles away) I hope that we can spend some quality time on it this weekend, fixin what ails her, and trying out my new pneumatic saw. AND we still have to get the slicks mounted.

This is the car that ran a 14.8 with just s pop charger. Think what it will do 500-700lbs lighter and on slicks.
And yes. I am a speedshiftin ****.
Me and Ben have not been able to get together to work on the car for the past few weekends, so I am taking the car hauler to get the car this weekend so that I can get it track ready. I have talked enough smack. Time to get it to the track.
