Does anyone know where I can find the vehicle speed sensor on a 2000 5sp??? I am under the car right now looking all over the trans and cant find it.

 

The 2k 5spds get the speed from the abs, not a speed gear. I drove around with no speedo or abs for a while before we figured that one out. lol

 

Oh crap, my abs light is on too how much did it cost you to fix this and how did you fix this

 

Sounds like your abs sensor is screwed up. You have an abs light and your speedo doesnt work but the tach does im guessing? I was doing a 5spd swap we couldnt figure out how to wire the **** up. We thought the abs light was on because we didnt know how to wire the speed sensor, but really the speedo wasnt working because the abs sensor was out of alignment. So I'm guessing your abs sensor is dead or misaligned or something. Thats where I would start looking. There was a thread about this when i was doing this and Dixit was doing his swap. He was the one who read the fsm and figured it out.
