VQ35DE Stroker kit anyone?

I recently ran across a VQ35DE stroker kit at AEBS and was wondering if anyone with a 3.5 swap has thought about purchasing this. I'd think the 3.5 + stroker kit would make a hell of a car. If I had the money for a 3.5 in my car, I'd definatly get this. Anyone have thoughts on this, is it good or bad?

Im sorry to say this i love my maxima and will always keep it but i would find a cheap base model 350z and do it to that .
Because the amount of power in a fwd will be a mess.

I dont remember which company, but one makes one for the 35 that makes it into a 4.3liter. I bet you dont even need a vq35 someone should try to put it on a vq30

Use of the search feature would reveal more info than you ever cared to know about this subject.

I'm not a donating member so I cannot search. But a searched on Google and came up with 2 matches. I was not asking about a VQ30DE stroker, I was wondering if anyone with a VQ35DE has gotten a stroker kit. I've seen threads about a VQ30 stroker, maybe that's what you thought I meant?

I'll have a talk with the guys who custom fab racing parts at the speedshop and see what he says.

He'll tell you to shove a Supercharger on your 3.5 and laugh all the way to your 120 mph trap speeds.

Ugh, not again. So what you're saying is that the same kit that makes a 3.5L into a 4.3L, will make the 3.L into a 4.3L as well? Does anyone else think this is wrong?

Why not? My VQ30 and VQ35 blocks are pretty much identical save a few details. I doubt there'd be a problem. Vq30 is much cheaper (and I have one lying around ) and SR20DEN said they will sleeve the block for about 2k. It won't give you 4.3 liters, it gives 4.0 instead since you keep the 3.5 crank. If you use the 3.0 crank it should give around 3.7 liters, but I'd guess it'd be more rev happy than a 4.0. 3.0 block sleeved to 3.7 with 3.5 heads and the Crawford Z plenum=

Read what?
N/A 11.5 : 1 / 101.5mm, engine size 4269.35cc
That's using the 3.5L not the 3.0L. Without using any parts from the VQ35 how will the AEBS kit fit and work?

Is that a message for me?
I donated, searched(the 5 or so threads about the aebs), and I learn everyday.

i think it would be a WHOLE LOT easier to use a VQ40 and just make new motor mounts or mod the stockers to fit

edit i forgot about the belhousing possibly having a different bolt pattern but if your "good" you could get it to work and it would still be way less expensive than a stroker kit

AEBS , give a new crank, rod, pistons and sleeve. to stroke the engine to 4.3L .

Maybe the iron block of the VQ30 is not tough enough to support that kind of power.

VQ30 has an all-aluminum block capable of supporting way more than the 4.3L stroker would make, and both the VQ30 and VQ35 use the same block molds, save for a few minor differences, they are externally identical, 93mm bore for the 3.0, and bored to 95.5mm for the 3.5, but same aluminum block.

$2000-$2500 includes the AEBS sleeves.

There is a 350Z VQ35 block with AEBS sleeves for sale for $1900 with only 4000miles on my350Z.com. Wish I had the loot.

I dont know about AEBS sleeves, but the speedshop quoted me $900 to get my VQ35 block sleeved and these guys have been sleeving supra and mustang blocks for ever to run 20+ lbs of boost...they do take a while ( shipping and stuff..2-3 weeks )..but I have yet to see one of their project/customer cars blow up..they also told me to get crower rods and wyseco pistons..but I have some things to take care of first, so my Vq35 project will have to wait a month or two.

they told me, after they are done bullet proofing the block...I can rev 9 grand all day...this might get insteresting..since I asked him for a 10-11k rev limit, he said that would set me back a few thousands of dollars in engine work and parts..so I'll settle for 9k.

BTW supposedly there is a black turbo charged 4th gen in NYC that alot of locals have been talking about...I'll pass by the shop where it's being worked on and try to see how much HP and what 1/4 mile time it runs.
