Need info about running W/O EGR.

I read a thread a long time ago that had an ton of info concerning running without EGR. Just the act of plugging the stock 4th gen manifold (both plenum and exhaust) is easy, but what about the ECU side of it?
Will it trip a code?

thanks all

Keep all the sensors in the engine bay and you will be fine. That's how I'm running mine.

I completely removed mine when I did the VI swap and so far no codes, but I just got it running today so...
I plugged the vacuum line that was for the EGR selenoid and cut & crimped the EGR temp sensor? into the exhaust mani tube and welded it closed.

I'm beginning to thing the .org should have a "best of" forum like fresh alloy does for 240's. Things like the thread I link are perfect candidates to fill it up.
