I've heard that i can NOT from one person..can anyone verify this for me??

I've already started by taking out the oem air intake, a few bolts, the coil packs, and the harnesses..but I don't want to continue if I find out if I need an aftermarket intake to make it all fit in the engine bay..

Note: I'm using 00 TB/IACV and 00UIM...everything else will be 4th gen (from the car, as it is in its current condition)

No. You will have to SHOVE the air box into place as the angles of the resonator and maf will be weird. If you don't have ABS though it will fit fine.

^^ thanks for the quick response

so I shouldn't even bother going further with this project till I get myself an aftermarket air intake?

And yes, I do have ABS

I wouldn't. Since the Tb would be moved towards he back more, the resonator will hit the ABS no matter what. You'd need some flex pipe or something to bend and put the air box into place.

I don't know if it would matter or help but I've seen 2.5" plastic flex pipe that's actually fairly smooth inside and not flimsy at all. Found it when running a hybrid intake on the old Altima when I was into modding it awhile back....

Simple way to go: use 2000 (5th gen) stock airfilter box... The only thing to work with is MAF- its flange/bolt pattern is different (4th gen maf vs. 5th gen box)
