injectors

I dont know anything about fuel injectors, so i was wondering are there aftermarket injectors? how much do they cost? what kind of power gains can you get from injector alone, if any? and would changing injector be something you should wait to do until you get pretty serious into your engine?

Yes, there are many brands of aftermarket injectors as well as larger injectors made by Nissan for other engines (i.e. VG30DET, SR20DET, etc.). Injectors usually cost from $100-$150 brand new, but you can find good deals on used injectors on different forums or on ebay. Or you can have places like Deatschworks modify your existing injectors to increase flow.

You don't need larger injectors unless you have seriously increased the amount of air going into your engine.

He has a 5th gen. Stephen.

There are injectors for 5th gens:
1)RC Engineering 370cc, 440cc, 550cc, etc..
2)Power Enterprise P-N-P 380cc, 510cc
3)Nismo 480cc P-N-P 480cc
4)Few others...

Our 5th gens. come with 290cc injectors, so most likely you won't be needing anything larger for NA mods. If you do, a Walbro 255 HP should be more then enough.

Just for reference:
290cc@80%DC ~225whp
290cc@100%DC ~282whp

BTW, bigger injectors don't make more power...they support more power if you have more airflow then the stockers can support.
