00VI up and running ^^

Well, i was down in South Texas and noticed that Stephen Max looked bored. So i chained him to my car and forced him to work in the hot Texas sunshine. Heres the results:

00VI and port matched PF TB in preperation for my SCer install as soon as Steve Millen's lazy a$$ decides to send my kit....

Dont worry folks SM was well paid with a box of Crispycreams, so he didnt suffer too badly

how come your front valve cover has the bosses for the 00-01 engine cover? Are you using 00-01 front valve cover? Either way congrats and very clean install

How did you go about doing it. I noticed you used A32 Lower and Pathy TB, but I can't tell how you did IACV/EGR.

He had to replace his engine a while back, and that is the front cover that the engine came with (even though the engine was supposedly out of a 96). The rear valve cover was a 4th gen one, but I replaced it with a 5th gen VC and coils. I installed the 5th gen egr guide tube, so the egr functions and the pcv valve is also connected. The 4th gen IACV is mounted on a plate (you can see it next to the vias) and a hose runs from the backside to the large hose nipple at the end of the plenum.

Very clean job, I made my own IACV plate, looks crappy but it works. Where did you run the vac back into the manifold? I was thinking about just drilling a hole and putting a fitting in there, is that what you did?

No, I ran the hose under the runners and then out the passenger side and back to the large hose nipple at the end of the plenum.

I did, however, drill and tap a hole in the backside of the plenum and used a brass fitting (3/8 hose barb, 90 deg elbow to 1/4 pipe tap) and connected the brake booster hose to it. You can see it in the third picture at the back of the plenum and over on the passenger side.

So, for the IACV you also used 3/8" hose? From what i remember the nipple on the end is 3/8", I thought the IACV would need a bigger hose.
