VAIS Solenoid harness?
Where did you guys running the 00VI get the connector that goes onto the VAIS solenoid? Mine didn't come with one, I was thinking about scavenging through junk yards, but there are very few yards around by me that have imports. (Not sure how universally used these harnesses are)
Best bet is either a junkyard or someone selling/parting out a car or engine. But the connector has to be cut off so many places won't want to hack up the harness. You might just have to be patient and keep looking until something turns up. It took me several weeks before I was able to get one.
VIAS Solenoid Electrical Plug
This is a fairly common plug on the 4th & 5th gen Max. It's used in several places, and the only differences are (1) the color and (2) the splines on either side of the stationary side of the plug which uniquely match its fit to the other side.
By shaving those 2 splines off of either side of your Vacuum Slenoid Switch (male) plug, any female plug of this 2-wire type will work. There have got to be many of these just sitting around with guys who've parted out their cars and had no takers for a tired, old 4th gen engine.
