Voltage for crankshaft position sensor

I was wondering what the voltage should be on the front side crank sensor. My car won't start, I tested the sensor it self and it measure with in the correct resistance. I checked the ground wire for good continuity and it was ok. I'm guessing that the white wire is the power, but only measured .08 volts, with the key in the on position and did not change when trying to crank over. Any help would be appreciated.

The signal on the white wire should definately change while cranking. I last tested mine w/ an analog multimeter so that I could watch the needle move as the teeth on the pulley passed by the sensor.

For some reason the FSM doesn't give a voltage for the front or rear sensors.

Have you checked for spark?

I have not checked for spark. After getting the code for the front crank sensor I've mainly focused on that.

Why is this in the wrong forum?

This is a normal maintenance item ....

What code is coming up? 0407?

The front crank sensor should pulse the needle on your analog meter when cranking at 25 (ground) and 44/48 (white) at the ecu. I read about .2v. There is no voltage supplied to this sensor, it just sends the pulse to the ecu as the pulley tabs pass the sensor.
See my thread on this site. I have been having problems starting after an engine swap due to crank sensor. Code=0407. let us know how you make out.

That was the first thing I did.
