will a z32 maf work on the 3.5?

i am in the market for a new MAF and don't exactly want to spend 488 dollars for a stock maf that im just going to have to upgrade in a few anyways. I was wondering if a z32 maf will work on the 3.5 and if anyone has done this yet with this model engine. And if so what do i need to do to get this working. Please help....

I know people were using the 3.0 5th gen MAF's on the 3.5... so maybe it would work for you.

Why do you want to use the Z32 maf? The oem maf is good for way more power than a VQ35 can produce, short of boosting.

I haven't heard of anyone using a Z32 maf on a VQ35, yet, but when I swap in a VQ35 this spring I'll be using the Z32 maf, Z32 injectors and JWT ecu that I'm using now.

Just to clarify, some people are using the 2001 MAF ($90) in 2002-2003s by transferring the IAT from the old 02-03 MAF into the 01 MAF. I don't know enough about the 6th Gen MAFs to say if it'll work, but I'm sure someone else can chime in about that.

Change the actual sensor, not the plastic housing.

IIRC Jime has some pics on his homepage.

If you're looking for aded performance, because that is what this forum is about, then you wont get it with that.
