De-k Question?

Buying a 2001 DE-K block from a wreckers. It has the loom but no ECU - do I need this or can I get away with my 4th-gen ECU with a VAFC-II? My redline is the standard 5,600rpm for the 4th-gens so will that harm my VI power?

LINK G2 ECU piggyback to increase redline soon.
I am a yes.

Dont you mean 6,500 rpm redline. Your 4th gen ECU should work only you will need a rpm switch for the VI.

I must have my terminology wrong. Is redline where you are making your maximum power or the maximum amount of rpm your engine is capable of doing with a given ECU?

Anyway - that's good news Dot. Thanks man.

Redline is the maximum amount of rpm your engine is capable of doing with a given ECU. and you will be fine with the 4G ECU
