Q: 00 IACV removal?

Well as you know, I've been trying to do a DEk swap but the junk yard sent me a bad motor so now I am waiting for another one to be send to me. While the motor still ran, I was still having idle issues. I ran Stephen Max's IACV plate/4th gen IACV but didnt remove the 00 IACV thinking it woud work as a plug since there wasnt any external vacuum nipple or anything for it to leak out of it.
Could not making a plate for the 00 IACV cause the idle to be jumpy? I know guys who ran 4th iacv but they never mention removing the 5th gen iacv. This sounds dumb I know but just looking at the 5th gen TB/IACV, I dont see where it could have a vacuum leak?

oh u know what it is, that 5th gen when u take it off has a hole that runs from the front of the tb to then inside of the tb, in the intake manifold, so ur getting extra air loss from that right there, watch take it off and look, i made a plate with one hole for mine, i think thats right, cuz i think that happend to me first too, .... good luck

I think you mistaken my question, you mounted your 4th gen IACV at the 5th gen location but I have mine remote. So to clearify, if my IACV is remote mounted, will i still need to remove the 5th gen IACV located on the bottom of the 5th gen TB? At the moment, its still on the TB but not plugged in, I cant tell if its leaking air or not and causing me to have a jumpy idle.

no no i do understand perfectly, but i dont have my 4th mounted with where my 5th was, my 5th is still there i had to take it off make a plate to cover it except one hole to the side of it that goes to the intake manifold, and i have a line that runs through the 5th down into my 4th which has a plate made on it too, anyways scratch that idea, ur problem is...... on ur 5th gen mounted under the tb, theres a hole on each side of the tb , one in front like on the air intake side, then one behing the butterfly in the intake manifold, so u need to remove that make a plate outta aluminum or something and seal it, then stick that 5th back on , just mounted tho, not connected or anything, cuz u cant even connect the plugs anyways, different motors u kno, duh, but uh yea thats my idea on how to solve ur problem i guess if u still dont get it let me know, and ill try to re.explain it again, k
