It kicks MEVI's AZZ. It'll give you what mevi gives you with no torque loss, and may also give you a wee bit hp on the top of Mevi.

hahahahahahaha... what a joker. Seriously don't listen to him, it makes your **** so big that your car blows up, forcing you to donate and search, at which point you will then find that everything is overrated and go to hai2u.com.

well this modification initially had two main benefits that slowly aided in its popularity.

1. weight reduction - due to the material its made from, versus the stock upper intake manifold. the actual weight difference escapes me at this time.

2. black in color - the maxima community loves to paint engine bay parts, and while a bit tedious to install, the mod was used as an alternative to painting or polishing the upper intake manifold. So if your not to good with a spray can, this is an available option.

Present - Maxima fanatics are swaping this IM on because of the belief that it produces more top end hp. So this is just another visious cycle, much like the after market air filters, many of us bragged and boasted about gains, and then years later everyone swayed to the opinion that we actually lost hp.

so im not sure i would get involved with all the hoopla, because in 2 years, everyone will be going back to stock claiming they had so much more low end torque and quicker throttle response with the USIM.

Well the 00vi is actually dyno proven, and i have experienced this myself, I have the dyno files to prove it (if u want to see), my friend s0ber dynoed his 00vi, and i dynoed my USIM. It is clear that not only at peak HP but throught the entire curve there is more power with the 00vi, SPECIALLY at high rpms to redline where there is the most power produced (sometimes around 30hp gain) cuz with the USIM the hp drop quickly after reaching peak, but with 00vi once it reaches peak it basically stays at peak almost and slightly drops. In conclusion this is a mod that i highly doubt anyone will regret, you'll see for yourself when you do your install.

lol, so i guess MEVI was forced to go under when 00VI did the hostile takeover..

Damn i sure don't want to have anything to do with that 00VI!

what's top-end? and what's so good about it ending?

VG IM> all VQ parts

VG TQ is better then VQ TQ

If some one is interested I have a couple extra VG IM's if some one wants to make an adapter.

Can we lock this thread? I sadly check every time there is a new post to find more crap.

For your 3rd Gen lovers.
