race gas in a 4.5 gen?

race gas in a 4.5 gen?

im headed to the strip on tues and i wanted to know if race gas would make a difference. would the timing be advanced with the higher octane?

No I dont think it would make a sugnificant difference, I know that if your boosted then It would make a big difference, And as far as advancing timing that would not just happen by it self

If you've got the engine tuned to take advantage of it, sure.. but not on a bolt-on type car.

Exactly, higher octane in and of itself does not do a whole lot, it's what it allows you to do to things like timing and boost that matter.
