quick FPR question...

hey, i have a question about my adjustable FPR. I'm not able to adjust it, it stays at about 45psi no matter how much i tighten/loosen the nut. i can disconnect it to the vacuum source, and it will still stay the same. Could i have the lines crossed? The car runs fine by the way, but today i noticed a huge power loss and alot of backfiring. I'm gonna screw around with it some more, but can my fpr be bad? I got it on ebay for 30 shipped. I have a spare one (i have to find it), and i'll swap that in.

anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks,
-Freddy

What brand is it ? Just saying it was ebay and only 30 bucks may point you you to your problem. I have the AEM unit and any little adjustment to the screw changes the fuel pressure.

Its unlikely you have the fuel lines cross, because most likely if you have them the wrong way, it wont work at all. Meaning your car wouldnt run.

it was a bad fpr. i switched to a good one this mroning, and it's 51 psi at idle, and car feels like it has more power in the lower rpms.

let me know how that one performs, I've been eyeing that particular one and close to purchasing but a little skeptical.

I was told to stay clear of this one from a thread I put up a while back asking about which AFPR to get for 3.5 swap. I went with the SARD for $90 shipped on ebay. Just taking a hell of a long time to get here.
