I'm trying to peice up everything I need in order to start my 00vi swap and I have one question. Do I only have to use the 00 IM gasket for my 00vi swap? And do I need any other gasket?

Thanks for the help

you need one gasket part #14033-2Y901, and you need 2 IM gaskets part #14035-38U01

thats what you need for gaskets for the manifolds... you will also need gaskets for the egr system as well but they are cheap, couple bucks, if you didnt get all of that already when you bought the egr guide tube... hope that helps

I plan on re-using a good many of my gaskets, but you're saying 3 different gaskets are needed for the two intake manifolds? Like one lower -> heads and two upper -> lower? What would I need assuming I was using my 4th gen lower and the 00VI upper?

You likely don't need to replace the 2 gaskets b/w the lower manifold and the heads. They are metal and usually still in good shape (unless for some reason yours aren't).

this is true... the part numbers i gave were assuming you were using the 00vi w/ the 5th gen lower

u need 4 things total w/ the new egr set up... the egr guide tube, another metal tube and 2 gaskets:

part #s: 14713-2Y900, 14722-38U02, 14722-2Y000, 14719-W7001

the guide tube is around $25 and the other 3 peices are about $2-3 each

Some time back there was a guy on the org (overseas somewhere IIRC) doing the 00VI swap, and he was trying to use both the 4th gen & 5th gen gaskets between the UIM & LIM. Absolutely a NO NO! Whichever LIM you use, use just the 5th gen (00VI) gasket.

Why would you use both?

So I just need to pick up a 5th gen upper -> lower gasket and I SHOULD be ok? I hope so...I'd hate for this to get even more complicated
