quick gasket question

Ok, I'm having trouble with this getting a good gasket for this.

The best one I've had so far was one cut out from gasket material but it was like treaded fiber paper, so it got wet. I've tried rubber o-rings, and it was VERY bad..... I cut out a different gasket from some kind of threaded rubber paper, but I think it started to melt... So I'm back to square one for now. It was supposed to be a temporary fix. What do you guys recommend me to buy a premade gasket or what material is good to make my own gasket out of?

Thanks

Have you tried an OEM ring? Cus there's supposed to be a rubber o-ring between the rail and fitting.
