thinkin of doin 3.5 swap...

so i was thinking of gettin a 03 3.5 n swaping it in my 99 max. ive looked on here on how exactly to do the swap, but im still kinda confused...is it just a matter of pullin out the old engine, putting in the 3.5, and making sure eveything is hooked up? or is it a little more difficult than that?

think it all the way thru, and plan before you decide and attempt to do anything. Factor in down time, cost, where to purcahse parts.

I should have my list of every single thing I purchased while doing the swap.

Seriously, I didnt really know about the various small things I'd need to keep running out a getting. that adds up. Hell I'm still running out a grabbing more RTV sealant.

Still need spark plugs, oil, and coolant. Its a longer list than you think

I didn't think there were any differences between the 02 and 03. However the 04+ has EGR built into the IM, so that is something to consider.

If you carefully check for prices you can get away with doing it yourself for one thousand flat. So take your time.

i have no evap or egr on my car, no need for it. and 02 and 03 have no external egr, it's the 04+'s that have them.
