MEVI not activating..

grr.. I went to install my pionner ipod connection so I can jam out to my iPod in my car and i got it all hooked up and everything and tada it works! well the other day i was installing my LED for my alarm and my MEVI activation lights wiring got pulled apart. My fault for not soldering then to begin with. So i hooked them back up and nothing... Well i was in a rush so i just left them disconnected. Well just out of curiousity i was like i better make sure the MEVI still works becuase the wiring is a little messy. My fault again for my being organized. Well guess what.. not working. So i began to check my wiring for the summit switch and found the gray wire was disconnected. got out my wiring diagram and saw this one shouldnt be connected? Well i have the power running off the cigrette lighter power.

I cant figure it out. I know its not getting power because the leds in the summit switch dont light up. Could I have to much running off the cig lighter and blown a fuse? i guess i somewhat diagonsis'd my own problem here. If someone can point me in the right direction i would be be very thankful

thanks again

Sean

I used to run it off the battery...Straight through the firewall. Find another source taht uses ignition switch as a power source.

I have a Craftsman I like it overall, but the leads are rather cheap. Fluke is awsome but way too much money.
Either of these should do the trick for minmal amount of money:

But if you do lots of electrical stuff get something with more features and wider range.
