Nismo 350z 262's in my 04 max
These NISMO 350Z cams have 262 degree duration and .426" lift. Cold lash is set at .010" to .013".
Im trying to get some more info before I get these. Would I be able to just drop these in or do I need to change anything else? I was quoted a labor charge of $1000 for the install. What input you guys have?

Idle adjustment may be needed to prevent stalling. I'm not sure how 04's can adjust idle with these cams. Thought JWT mentioned that 2004 LEV II vehicles aren't capable of adjusting the idles. You'd have to get that cleared first.
I put 256 degrees with .415 lift cams in my 3.5 swap. Car can idle at 650 without a hint of dying.
$1000 install is cheap compared to lots of shops down here. I wouldn't call cams an easy install for our cars. Good luck and come back with results.

Yeap, that thing sounds incredible and for only $400! I say only because of all the stuff you will be able to do with it. And I see idle adjustment is not a problem. Thanks Tek...

Call JWT, ask for tech support and talk to Ben Pila. Act like you're buying JWT cams the whole time while you're asking the idle adjustment questions. I'd reckon JWT to tell you exactly what you'd need to know. You probably wont' even need cipher at all.

Well he said that I would need the JWT S2 cams for a proper idle and that on 04+ nissans, adjusting the idle is not an option without ecu reflash and 350z ecu wouldnt work in the max. Also he said the Cipher could not alter and setting...just shows you whats going on.
BUT it says on the website you CAN alter settings:For $400 the Cipher matches and beats most features the products listed above provide. Following is a brief description of some of Ciphers capabilities:
-Scan Tool
-Idle Adjust
-Dual WideBand 02 (04.5+)
-Timing Adjust
-Datalogging
-Configurable Digital Dash
-100’s of other functions
Total Spent - $400

From what I read on other VQ forums, the JWT had better dyno results than Nismo. No mention of how much better. Something to do with Nismo 262 duration being too much and not enough lift. 6-7 hr job according to posts.
The Cipher and Autoenginuity (which I bought 2 weeks ago) can add/remove up to 2 degree of timing and increase/reduce idle by 250 rpm on 2004+. I was able to add 2 degrees and up rpm by 50.
Do you feel lucky - Ebay JDM WWW.STORES.EBAY.COM/DELUBOZPARTS $699

And you already have CAI, and shopping for a better exhaust system, right!
